Sleestak Sunday

And Another Great Review
One more bit of news to add to the end of Sleestak Sunday.  Knowledge Illuminates received another positive review from Geodieracer.  The review can be found at Haque in Black.  Thanks Geodieracer for the great review.  And I am going to put some words in there about those skills checks.

  1. I've seen reference to a Sleestak on this, and other, blogs. I've apparently failed my 'pop-culture knowledge' roll. What is a Sleestak?

  2. Hi Sean, they are those reptile looking creatures from a 70s Saturday morning television show called Land of the Lost. The great thing about the show is it had some interesting themes and had some heavy duty sci-fi writers penning some of the episodes. Larry Niven, Theodore Sturgeon, Ben Bova and a lot more. Check it out if you have a chance.

  4. Thanks, Tim, I'd never heard of Land of the Lost before. Given how many of its writers were also involved in Star Trek, I wonder if it's any coincidence that the Sleestak look a lot like the Gorn?

  5. I thought I saw a sleestak in my backyard last night, but it turned out to only be a chupacabra so it was cool. ;)

@Sean - Good question, I'd never thought of that.
